FAQ

Who founded HAGENS, and why?
Sarah Hagens began her career in the PR department of a large advertising agency. In 2012 she founded HAGENS because she felt the profession could be better: more strategic, more creative and more ambitious. Step by step, HAGENS grew into an agency of 20 PR and communications specialists. Sarah is also the founder of the Unlock Foundation, a foundation that encourages entrepreneurship among bicultural girls.

What is The New PR?
That is what we call our way of working. It starts with the story itself: is it news, is it true, will people want to share it? Only then do we choose the channel, not the other way around. We also look at what AI does with it. Read more on The New PR.

What does a PR agency do?
A PR agency makes sure your story reaches the media and your audience because the story itself is worth telling. Not because you buy advertising space. Read more at PR agency Amsterdam.

What can you work with us on?
Marketing PR, cultural PR and corporate PR. From a campaign you want to land as earned media to a long-term relationship with the press, or a reputation issue you would rather not face alone. See Services.

How does working together work?
On a retainer basis, per project or a combination of both. We start with a workshop and a strategic planning phase. After that, one fixed core team works on your visibility, with regular check-ins and a live dashboard.

Do you also work for smaller organisations?
Yes, because smaller organisations can also make a big cultural or societal impact.

What does a PR agency cost?
That depends on the assignment: a campaign, a fixed monthly collaboration or one-off advice. We are happy to discuss it in a first conversation.

How do you make sure AI refers to my organisation or brand?
AI looks for content with authority and uses public, up-to-date data. Those who have credible, newsworthy stories and appear in the media often become the source more often. PR is the fuel for that. See The New PR.

Do you give a knowledge and inspiration session?
Yes, we are happy to. About how AI is changing news and answers, and what that means for your organisation or brand. Get in touch.

Where are you based?
In Amsterdam. See Contact.
