Corporates should start an internal symmetrical war with their own task force to become lean & mean again, argues Sarah Hagens.
This week I heard about the term ‘asymmetric war’ in a podcast: a war between two unequal parties that differ greatly in power, resources and way of fighting. In an asymmetric war, the strong side has to win; the weaker side only has to not lose. At first, it mostly reminded me of what Cruyff said about playing football against the Germans: “If you can’t win, you have to make sure you don’t lose.”
