The music partners joined forces to celebrate dance culture as well as artists. A spectacular show of 600 drones over the IJ River was used to mark the occasion. During the show, Spotify unveiled the new ‘DJ mixes’ of Tiësto, Aluna, Yung Bae and BLOND:ISH. The feature allows DJs to add their sets to the platform to make them available to their fans. Through the luminous QR codes in the air, spectators could find the sets on Spotify.
Spotify also organized a master class for emerging DJs and artists during the event. With ‘Spotify for Artists’ the streaming service gives emerging music talents a chance to engage with music industry experts. Topics such as new DJ features and the latest developments within the electronics and dance scene were also covered.
Among others, Het Parool, FHM and Partyscene highlighted the collaboration.
