And for those who have been living under a rock for the past decade: With Wrapped, Spotify is giving users a personalized year-by-year overview of which artists they listen to the most and what their favorite song or podcast was this year.
They do the same on a global and local level. Antoon takes the crown this year as the most streamed artist in the Netherlands, and we listened massively to “Vluchtstrook” by Kris Kross Amsterdam. The worldwide most-streamed artist for the third time in a row is by Bad Bunny. In addition, we listened to locally based female artists more than ever in 2022. MEAU finishes within the most streamed songs at spot 3 with ‘Dat heb jij gedaan’.
